I have completed a project without creation of milestone but client never appeared again. What if I cancel that project now? Is it going to affect my completion rate?

You can not actually cancel a project. Rather you can only send a request to cancel the project to the client.

I had the similar situation where the employer stopped coming online or giving feedback to my proposals. Luckily I thoroughly followed freelancer.com recommendations to start working after milestone is set so I finally got the agreed amount. My suggestion: is Ok to share a sample but start working after project award and milestone created. Anything else should be a red flag and NO GO
